Chloe was brilliant in the morning. Relaxed, enjoying herself and properly taking it all in with her friends and family. She wore a classic dress that suited the whole feel of the day perfectly.

Adan got ready at the hotel just down the road, with the usual mix of good spirits, nervous laughs and standard groomsmen banter. I did have to remind everyone that I’m not there to photograph men in their pants. I like to keep things "professional".

By the time the ceremony came around, Adan was doing well to hold it together. He nearly cried when Chloe came in, which tells you everything you need to know really. They just fit. Nothing forced, nothing overdone, just two people very happy to be marrying each other.

One of the reasons I always enjoy photographing at Meadow Barn Stratford Park is the light. The barn has huge windows, which makes such a difference across the day and gives everything a clean, flattering look without having to fight for it.

One of the best details from the whole day was the E-Type Jaguar. Chloe’s dad had rebuilt it from scratch, which is already a brilliant story before the wedding even starts. In true wedding fashion though, it refused to start that morning, so it had to be brought in on a trailer and then wheeled into place for the photos.

Not quite the grand entrance it had planned, but it looked fantastic in the end and made for some brilliant images.

The evening finished with smoke bombs, a bit of wind, a bit of coughing, and the best man wearing some of the dye by the end of it. Worth it though. There is one photo of them kissing in the middle of the smoke that sums them up perfectly. It has atmosphere to it, but it still feels like them.

This was one of those weddings where everything just clicked. The couple, the light, the venue, the atmosphere. It all came together in a way that made the whole day a joy to photograph.
