Georgia & Kim
A relaxed same sex summer wedding at Mythe Barn
Mythe Barn — Leicestershire
Your wedding is not a photoshoot. Georgia & Kim got that completely. Their Mythe Barn wedding was relaxed, fun and full of the sort of moments that happen naturally when people are genuinely enjoying the day. The wood-fired pizza helped too.
Both of them got ready at Mythe Barn, each in their own little bubble before everything properly kicked off. Georgia’s room had that usual mix of music, laughter and mild last-minute chaos. Kim was the complete opposite. Totally calm from the start, just quietly taking everything in with that smile that never really disappeared all day.

No overcomplicated nonsense. Just two people genuinely enjoying getting married, a few nervous laughs and one of those ceremonies where the room goes properly quiet for all the right reasons.
Then they walked back out together, hand in hand, looking like two people who’d just had the best few minutes of their lives.
One of my favourite parts of any wedding is that first twenty minutes after the ceremony. Everyone’s relaxed, nobody knows where they’re supposed to be anymore, and the whole thing briefly becomes organised chaos in the best possible way.
The speeches were brilliant. Funny in the right places, emotional without becoming awkward, and just enough roasting to keep everyone entertained. Nobody drifting to the bar, nobody checking their phone. Just a room full of people completely invested in these two and properly enjoying the moment.

By this point, the whole wedding had relaxed into the evening. Jackets disappearing, drinks flowing a bit quicker and guests settling into the kind of atmosphere nobody really wants to end.
Mythe Barn’s one of those venues that photographs well without needing to turn the wedding into a photoshoot. We dipped in and out for a few natural portraits, then straight back to the party.

No disappearing for hours. No awkward posing every five minutes. Just enough direction when needed, then letting Georgia and Kim get on with having a genuinely brilliant day.
01 /
Once the sun started dropping behind the trees, the whole evening shifted up another level. Golden light everywhere, drinks flowing properly by then, and Georgia and her dad somehow managing to completely catch everyone off guard with a choreographed first dance routine.

The crowd absolutely loved it.

After that, nobody really sat down again. Just dancing, laughter and the sort of evening that disappears far too quickly.

The wood-fired pizza helped as well, obviously.
A genuinely lovely message — from two brilliant people
“We honestly felt like we were reliving the day going through the gallery. So many moments we never even realised were happening at the time. We genuinely can’t stop smiling.”
