Chloe & Ben
A real winter wedding at Curradine Barns
Curradine Barns — Worcestershire
Chloe and Ben’s winter wedding at Curradine Barns was one of those days that just felt easy from start to finish.
Cold, but clear. Proper winter light, without the chaos that usually comes with it.

If you’re planning a winter wedding at Curradine Barns, this should give you a real sense of how the day actually looks and feels.
Curradine Barns — Morning Prep
Chloe’s morning didn’t feel rushed, which is rare.

Everything was happening at Curradine, so there was none of that usual pressure of watching the time or working around travel. People drifted in and out, music on in the background, bits of conversation happening at once.
It built gradually rather than all at once.

Hair and makeup were still going, dresses were half on, someone was looking for something they’d definitely just had. That kind of normal.

Chilled Groom prep — Ben
At the same time, Ben was already with the lads, a bit more ready than he needed to be, just waiting for things to get going. No big build-up, just a few quiet moments before everything shifted.

Nothing staged, nothing overly organised. Just the morning as it actually is.
Curradine Barns — A winter ceremony
By the time everyone was in, the barn had that quieter atmosphere winter weddings do well.

Chloe and Ben kept the ceremony simple, which suited both the space and the day. Nothing distracted from what was actually happening, and the soft light in the barn kept everything feeling calm and settled.

Confetti kicked in as they walked back down the aisle together, straight into that just-married moment without any pause in between.
Group Shots & portraits — just enough time away
We stepped away for a short walk for portraits and group shots, but not for long.

That’s the balance at Curradine. You don’t need to disappear for an hour to get good photos. Everything is close enough that you can step out, get what you need, and come straight back.

With the winter light dropping earlier, keeping this short made even more sense.

They got to stay present with their guests instead of missing half the drinks reception.
Reception — The Details
Inside, it all felt considered without being overdone. A few personal details, a warm space, and enough going on to make it feel like their day rather than a styled setup.
Winter Light — Making the most of it
Winter light doesn’t last long, but when it’s there, it’s good.

We timed a second quick set of portraits later in the afternoon, just as the light softened. Nothing planned too heavily. Just stepping out at the right time and keeping it relaxed.

Those tend to be the images that feel the most like the day.
Once everyone moved inside, the shift felt natural rather than forced.

The reception space at Curradine holds everything together well. It feels like a change of pace without losing the atmosphere that had already built earlier in the day.

People settled in quickly, speeches rolled straight into food, and nothing really dipped in between. Chloe and Ben stayed part of it the whole time, not pulled off or hidden away, which always makes a difference to how the day feels overall.
As the evening came in, things opened up. Some people danced, others stayed outside, and everything just found its rhythm.
An amazing review — from an incredible couple
