Josie & Kurt
A relaxed summer wedding at Wootton Park
Wootton Park — Henley-In-Arden
Some weddings just fit the couple.
And Kurtis and Josie picked the perfect place to match their energy.
Wootton Park gave them the relaxed summer wedding they were after — the kind of day that flows naturally without feeling staged or over-structured.
It’s one of those venues that works beautifully for couples who want a laid-back, outdoor wedding without things feeling overly formal.
Nothing felt rushed. Nothing felt forced. Just two brilliant people enjoying their Wootton Park wedding the way it should be done.
Josie got ready in the Hayloft at Wootton Park — bright, private, and just far enough from the buzz to keep things calm.

She was with her bridesmaids, and the morning had that familiar mix of nerves, laughter and quiet little moments in between. A few drinks, a few checks in the mirror, and then it all came together.

No chaos. Just that steady build towards walking out the door.

Kurtis got ready over in the accommodation with his mates.

The usual mix of jokes, buttonholes and trying to act calm as the nerves started creeping in.

At one point he opened a gift from Josie — a tie with a photo of his uncle stitched inside, along with a handwritten letter.

You could see it hit him straight away. He didn’t say much, didn’t need to. Just took a breath, wiped his face, and gave himself a minute.

A proper moment — and one that stayed with him for the rest of the day.
The ceremony took place outside.

Wootton Park is made for that kind of setting — open skies, fields in the background, and plenty of space for everyone to take it in.

As Josie walked down the aisle, the look on Kurtis’ face said everything.

They were completely in it. Didn’t take their eyes off each other.
After the ceremony, everyone drifted back towards the main venue for drinks.

The sun was out, guests were relaxed, and it felt exactly how a summer wedding should.

Josie had decorated the space herself and it showed — nothing over the top, just thoughtful details that brought everything together.

The whole afternoon had an easy feel to it. People catching up, drinks flowing, and a couple who knew exactly how to enjoy it.
I always let my couples enjoy this part of the day without turning it into a photo marathon.

We kept family photos simple, then made the most of the grounds for portraits.

Wootton Park has loads of quiet corners, so nothing ever feels forced. It all just flows.
One of the best moments came later when the whole wedding party ended up on the bouncy castle.

Suits, dresses, chaos — the lot.

It made for some of the best candid photos of the day.
The speeches had the perfect balance — funny, honest, and properly meaningful.

Nothing dragged, no one tried too hard.

You could see how much Kurtis and Josie meant to everyone in that room.
Their first dance stopped everything.

The sun had been hiding most of the evening, but just as they stepped onto the floor it broke through the window above them and lit the room perfectly.

No lighting setup could’ve done it better.

Just the two of them, moving together in that soft, golden light.

One of those moments you couldn’t plan if you tried.
The evening carried on just like the rest of the day — relaxed, easy, no pressure.

Most people stayed outside, making the most of the warm air and golden light. Drinks kept flowing, music carried across the lawn, and everywhere you looked people were smiling.

At some point, Josie swapped her heels for Crocs.

I caught a quick photo, and the look she gave said it all — that quiet relief of comfort finally winning.

A small moment, but one that always ends up being a favourite.
Josie & Kurt — say it best.
“From the moment we booked, James was an absolute pleasure to work with. We wanted a relaxed, candid approach, and he understood that perfectly. So many of our guests commented on how lovely he was, and we couldn’t be happier with how the photos turned out. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Adept Imagery. Thank you again, James.”
