I’m James, a Worcestershire wedding photographer with over 500 weddings photographed across the country, from relaxed barn venues to open-air festival weddings.
I photograph weddings as they actually feel. Relaxed, natural and full of real moments, without turning the day into a photoshoot.
My approach is documentary-led and focused on real moments as they happen.
Nothing forced.
Nothing overly staged.
No awkward hours spent away from your guests while the wedding carries on somewhere else.
Just honest photographs of the people, atmosphere and moments that made the day feel like you.
APPROACH — RELAXED, STORY-LED WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
A relaxed approach to same-sex weddings
One of the things I love most about same-sex weddings is that they often feel less tied to tradition for the sake of tradition.
There’s usually more freedom to shape the day around what actually matters to you, rather than following a formula because it’s “what weddings do”.
That naturally fits the way I photograph weddings.
Every wedding is different, which is exactly why I photograph them the way I do.
Some are quiet and intimate.
Some are loud, chaotic and full of energy.
Some follow traditions closely, and some throw the rulebook out entirely.
The most important thing is that the day feels like you.
Stories — REAL SAME-SEX WEDDINGS I’VE PHOTOGRAPHED
Real weddings
An intimate summer wedding at Karma Salford Hall, photographed naturally from start to finish.
“James was amazing! He was there but not. If you want a photographer that catches photos you never think of, is professional, fits in like one of the guests, able to keep up with banter and jokes where needed then James is the photographer you want!”

ABOUT — Same-sex Wedding Photographer
Relaxed, documentary wedding photography that lets you enjoy the day properly.
I photograph weddings as they naturally unfold. Nothing forced, nothing overly staged and no awkward hours spent away from your guests.
One of the things I love most about same-sex weddings is how personal they often feel. There’s usually far more freedom to shape the day around what actually matters to you, rather than following traditions for the sake of it.
My approach fits naturally into that. Honest photographs, real moments and a wedding day that still feels like yours while it’s being photographed.
The Full Story is designed for couples who want their wedding day documented from beginning to end with relaxed, story-led photography.
From the anticipation of the morning through to the evening celebrations, the focus stays on natural moments, genuine connection and everything that makes your day feel uniquely yours.
