The Four Words — "Will you marry me?"
The Foreword - Proposal Photography
You only get one go at the actual question.

The Foreword is discreet proposal photography planned with you beforehand, so your partner sees you rather than a photographer hovering nearby. I will be in the right place for the reaction, then give you both a moment before we take a few relaxed photographs together afterwards.

What happens on the day?

Before you arrive
I will arrive early, check the agreed position and make sure nothing obvious has changed.

The proposal
I will photograph the question quietly from the position we planned. I will not interrupt the moment or ask you to repeat anything for the camera.

Afterwards
Once you have both had a minute to take it in, we can spend a short while making a few photographs together. Nothing elaborate. Just enough direction to help you settle in without turning the proposal into a full photoshoot.

Keep it simple

You do not need a flash mob, a trail of candles or a production crew unless that genuinely feels like the two of you. A familiar walk, a quiet corner of a city or somewhere you already care about can work brilliantly.

The important part is that your partner experiences the proposal, not the plan behind it.

Planning to ask the question?
The Forward | £295
The Foreword is designed for couples planning a proposal that feels personal, relaxed and genuinely reflective of who they are.

From the anticipation beforehand to the moment itself and the time together afterwards, the experience is photographed quietly and naturally without interrupting what the moment actually feels like.

Whether you're planning something intimate and simple or something more considered, coverage is shaped around the atmosphere, emotion and story of the proposal itself.
Looking for engagement photography?
Photographs of the two of you without a wedding timetable running in the background.

The Prologue is a relaxed engagement shoot lasting around an hour. We can go somewhere familiar, take the dogs for a walk or choose a place that simply gives us room to move around without an audience.

You do not need to know how to pose. I will give you enough direction to stop you wondering what to do with your hands, then let the two of you settle into it.
